Another edition of Portugal FinLab is coming! Applications close on February 13

Regulators launch the 7th edition of Portugal FinLab
​

The 7th edition of Portugal FinLab was launched today, January 14, at an event held at Banco de Portugal in Lisbon.
​
The event featured board members from the three regulatory authorities of the financial sector — Diogo Alarcão (Autoridade de Supervisão de Seguros e Fundos de Pensões), Inês Drumond (Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários), and Luís Morais Sarmento (Banco de Portugal) — as well as a panel with the participants from the 6th edition of Portugal FinLab.

Applications for the new edition are open until February 13. Candidates selected for the pitch day will be notified by March 2 to present their projects to the regulators on March 17 and 18, 2026.​

The projects selected for analysis, up to a maximum of five, will be announced on April 13. Participants will receive a report with the analysis of their projects and will then have the opportunity to meet with the regulators to discuss the report’s conclusions and clarify any questions.

Reguladores lançam 7.ª edição do Portugal FinLab

A 7.ª edição do Portugal FinLab começa dia 14 de janeiro, num evento realizado no Banco de Portugal, em Lisboa.
​
O evento contou com a presença de administradores das três autoridades reguladoras do setor financeiro — Diogo Alarcão (Autoridade de Supervisão de Seguros e Fundos de Pensões), Inês Drumond (Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários) e Luís Morais Sarmento (Banco de Portugal — e um painel composto pelos participantes da 6.ª edição do Portugal FinLab.

As candidaturas à nova edição estão abertas até 13 de fevereiro. Os candidatos selecionados para o pitch day serão notificados até 2 de março e terão a oportunidade de apresentar os seus projetos aos reguladores nos dias 17 e 18 de março de 2026.

Os projetos selecionados para análise – até um máximo de cinco – serão anunciados a 13 de abril. Os participantes receberão um relatório com a análise dos seus projetos e poderão reunir-se com os reguladores para discutir as conclusões do relatório, bem como esclarecer eventuais questões.
