Portugal FinLab’s new edition: applications until February 23th

Regulators launch the 5th edition of Portugal FinLab
​

The 5th edition of Portugal FinLab is launched today, 15 January , at the “Launch of the 5th Edition of Portugal FinLab” event, held at Hub Criativo do Beato.
​
This event includes the participation of board members from the three financial sector regulators of the (Hélder Rosalino of the Banco de Portugal, Inês Drumond of the Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários (Portuguese Securities Market Commission) and Manuel Caldeira Cabral of Autoridade de Supervisão de Seguros e Fundos de Pensões (Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority)) and a panel made up of representatives from relevant entities, namely Associação Portugal Fintech, European Forum for Innovation Facilitators (EFIF), Startup Portugal and Rauva, participant in the 4th edition.

For the 5th edition, applications will be open between 15 January and 23 February and the designers of the projects selected for the pitch day on 26 and 27 March, will be notified by 12 March 2024.
​
The regulators will select a maximum of five projects for analysis. This analysis will be provided as a report and its conclusions can be discussed with the regulators in a final meeting with each participant to clarify any additional questions.

Reguladores lançam 5.ª edição do Portugal FinLab

Este evento conta com a participação dos administradores das três autoridades reguladoras do setor financeiro (Hélder Rosalino do Banco de Portugal, Inês Drumond da Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários e Manuel Caldeira Cabral da Autoridade de Supervisão de Seguros e Fundos de Pensões) e com um painel constituído por representantes de entidades relevantes, designadamente Associação Portugal Fintech, European Forum for Innovation Facilitators (EFIF), Startup Portugal e Rauva, participante da 4.ª edição.

Na 5.ª edição, as candidaturas estarão abertas entre 15 de janeiro e 23 de fevereiro de 2024 e os autores dos projetos selecionados para o pitch day, que ocorrerá nos dias 26 e 27 de março, serão notificados até 12 de março de 2024.
​
As autoridades reguladoras selecionarão, no máximo, cinco projetos para análise. Esta análise deverá ser entregue em formato de relatório e as respetivas conclusões poderão ser posteriormente discutidas com as autoridades numa reunião de encerramento com cada participante, por forma a esclarecer eventuais questões adicionais.
