Portugal FinLab’s new edition: applications by 14th February

Regulators launch the 6th edition of Portugal FinLab

The 6th edition of Portugal FinLab was launched today, January 13th, at the “Launch of the 6th Edition of Portugal FinLab” event, held at Fintech House, Lisbon.
​
This event included the participation of the board members from the three financial sector regulators (Inês Drumond of Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários, Luís Morais Sarmento of Banco de Portugal and Manuel Caldeira Cabral of Autoridade de Supervisão de Seguros e Fundos de Pensões) and a panel with the participants of Portugal FinLab 5th edition.

The applications for the 6th edition are open between 13th of January and 14th of February of 2025. The candidates selected for pitch day will be notified, by 28th of February, to pitch their projects on the 18th and 19th of March.​

The regulators will select a maximum of five projects for analysis and their conclusions will be provided to participants, in the form of a report. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss the regulators’ conclusions at a final meeting and, if necessary, to clarify any additional questions.

Reguladores lançam 6.ª edição do Portugal FinLab

A 6.ª edição do Portugal FinLab foi anunciada hoje, dia 13 de janeiro, no evento “Launch of the 6th Edition of Portugal FinLab”, realizado na Fintech House em Lisboa.
​
Este evento contou com a participação dos administradores das três autoridades reguladoras do setor financeiro (Inês Drumond, da Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários, Luís Morais Sarmento, do Banco de Portugal, e Manuel Caldeira Cabral, da Autoridade de Supervisão de Seguros e Fundos de Pensões) e com um painel constituído pelos participantes da 5.ª edição do Portugal FinLab.

As candidaturas à 6.ª edição decorrem entre 13 de janeiro e 14 de fevereiro de 2025. Os candidatos selecionados para apresentar os projetos no pitch day serão notificados até 28 de fevereiro. As apresentações realizar-se-ão nos dias 18 e 19 de março.
​
Os reguladores selecionarão, no máximo, cinco projetos para análise, cujas conclusões serão posteriormente partilhadas com os participantes em formato de relatório. Haverá ainda oportunidade para uma reunião final com cada um dos participantes, por forma a discutir as conclusões do relatório e, se necessário, esclarecer eventuais questões adicionais.
